On June 11th, the National Book Critics Circle released an anti-racism pledge (read it here https://www.bookcritics.org/2020/06/11/6792/). Following an email, circulated via Twitter, fifteen of the twenty-four board members have resigned. The remaining nine have vowed to work to revamp the organization with a commitment to change how the organization does business. April Bookstore Sales Tumbled 65.3% – Source: Publishers Weekly
April sales fell a total of $412 million from 2019, dropping to an anemic $219 million. In March, bookstore sales fell 33.4% compared to a year ago. March sales were $392 million, meaning April sales declined 44.3% from March to April.

On the other hand, Print Unit Sales Post Another Week of Solid Gains. Anti-racist and social justice books drove up unit sales of print books 9.1%. https://tinyurl.com/y8csjzfs
