the Writers' Police Academy's Golden Donut Short Story Contest

International best-selling author Tami Hoag has agreed to repeat as the final judge for the Writers’ Police Academy’s Golden Donut Short Story Contest.  That means it’s time for you to start work on a 2018 entry that will knock her socks off. The rules are simple: Write a story using exactly 200 words, including your story’s title. Use the supplied photo image as the story’s main focus. This is a must.
WPA attendance isn’t required. The contest is judged blindly. The 12 stories receiving the top scores by our panel of reader judges are then forwarded to Tami Hoag, our 2018 final contest judge.
Midnight July 1 is the entry deadline. Each story submitted requires a $25 entry fee. You can submit up to three stories. The Golden Donut winner earns recognition, a cool trophy, and free registration to a 2019 WPA event.
